Dreams, Numbers, and Utter Nonsense
Seriously? Were still doing this? Apparently, we’re now crediting REM cycles for financial windfalls. Eight people dreamed of winning the lottery and subsequently bought tickets with numbers plucked from their subconscious? Please tell me I didnt just read that correctly.
Its always the dreams, isn’t it? Not years of careful statistical analysis, not a brilliant understanding of probability, no – it’s a fleeting image of dancing dollar signs while you’re half-asleep. Suddenly, a sequence of digits materialized from…where, exactly? A forgotten childhood birthday? The license plate of a particularly unremarkable minivan?
And these people believe it? They genuinely think their brains, that wonderful organ responsible for remembering where they put their keys (spoiler: usually somewhere ridiculous), can predict the outcome of a random number generator? Its charmingly naive. It’s also profoundly illogical.
Let’s be honest, these lucky numbers are just another way to justify reckless spending and attribute success to something other than pure, dumb luck. Because acknowledging that it was simply chance, a cosmic accident of algorithms, is far too…unromantic. So, dream on, folks. Dream your little dreams. Ill stick with paying my bills.
