You know, I’m starting to suspect California wildlife officials operate on a system of random chance and pure, unadulterated guesswork. Its not incompetence; it’s performance art at this point. Apparently, in their infinite wisdom, they managed to snag the wrong bear. Yes, you read that correctly. They went through all the effort – the tranquilizer darts, the nets, the helicopters buzzing like angry wasps – and hauled away a perfectly innocent ursine individual who just happened to be…not the one they were looking for!
I mean, really? Is identifying a bear suddenly rocket science? Do they not have photos? Tracking data? Maybe a simple “Does it look like the suspect?” check before deploying a team of heavily armed professionals? Its astounding. We’re spending taxpayer dollars to play ‘bear-adjacent,’ and I, for one, am furious!
This isnt just a minor inconvenience; this is a monument to bureaucratic blundering.
