A Monstrous Monument to Human Laziness
Seriously? A fatberg the size of four buses? Under a wastewater plant? Is this some sort of bizarre, late-night cable news competition for Most Depressing Discovery? Because theyre absolutely crushing it. I mean, you’d think wed have collectively grasped, after centuries of plumbing and sanitation advancements, that flushing things down the toilet that aren’t meant to be flushed is a terrible idea. Apparently not.
This isnt just some unfortunate byproduct; this is a testament to our collective inability to follow simple instructions. It’s a greasy, stinky sculpture built from discarded wet wipes (because apparently paper towels are too good for drying your hands), unidentifiable food scraps, and who knows what other horrors people deem worthy of disappearing down the drain.
And lets be honest, its probably just the tip of the iceberg – pun entirely intended. I shudder to think about what else lurks beneath our cities, a disgusting network of subterranean sludge monuments built on a foundation of carelessness and willful ignorance. Four buses! Do we really need a visual aid to understand how irresponsible people can be? I suppose not. We’ll just keep creating these colossal piles of refuse while pretending its someone else’s problem to clean up. Just brilliant. Utterly brilliant.
