Seriously? Another Rocket, Really?!

Right, so we had a mysterious light streaking across the South Australian sky last night. Cue mass hysteria! People filming it with their phones (because apparently documenting impending doom is more important than, you know, not panicking), flooding social media with speculation about alien invasions and government conspiracies. Honestly, people are astonishingly predictable.

And what was it? A rogue meteor? Nope. A portal to another dimension? Highly unlikely. It was, of course, a rocket launch. Groundbreaking deduction, I know. Apparently, launching enormous fire sticks into space is still considered mysterious when witnessed by those who havent seen a fireworks display.

It’s not like we’re constantly bombarded with these things! (Okay, maybe slightly more than constantly, but that’s beside the point). The sheer gullibility on display here is breathtaking. We live in an age of instant information, yet people still believe anything they see on TikTok.

And dont even get me started on the breathless reporting. “Unidentified object!” They squeal. As if unidentified means extraterrestrial. News outlets, take note: sometimes a light in the sky is just…a rocket. It’s a fairly simple concept to grasp. Now, can we please move onto something genuinely fascinating? Like, I dont know, the migratory patterns of dust bunnies? At least that would be less tedious.
