Bless Their Hearts (and the Calf)
Honestly, can we just pause for a second? A newborn calf struggling in the cold? Really? Is this news? Do people not own common sense anymore? Apparently not, because now were celebrating a Kentucky family’s profound act of… generosity. They opened their home to a shivering baby cow. Groundbreaking stuff, folks!
I’m sure the calf is thrilled to be inside, surrounded by humans who apparently thought it was perfectly acceptable for it to nearly freeze solid in the first place. Did nobody think to provide some shelter before the temperatures plummeted? Was there literally no foresight involved? I picture a picturesque scene of rolling hills and happy cows… until someone remembered that winter exists.
And now we’re supposed to feel warm fuzzies about this rescue mission, complete with heartwarming photos for social media? Please. Its a Band-Aid on a bigger problem: the astounding lack of basic animal husbandry skills apparently present in some rural communities. I bet they’ll tell you it was an “act of God.” As if nature is conspiring to punish farmers who cant adequately protect their livestock.
Look, good for them. The calf seems to be doing well. But let’s not pretend this isnt a colossal failure of preventative care dressed up as a feel-good story. Let’s all just learn from this… or at least remember that cows need blankets too.
