The Absurdity on a Floating Log
Seriously? Bicycles. On a log. In a river. I need to take a moment, breathe deeply, and process this level of…aesthetic choice. Apparently, someone thought it would be a brilliant idea to balance three bicycles atop a decaying piece of timber bobbing merrily along the Missouri River. Why? Because reasons! That’s all I can come up with.
Its a tableau so profoundly pointless, so aggressively whimsical, that it defies explanation. Are these bikes destined for some elaborate fluvial delivery system? A performance art piece about the futility of transportation? Or are they simply…there? Mocking us with their precarious existence?
I imagine the scenario: Hey, let’s just put these bicycles on a log! Itll be charming! Charming?! It’s an ecological hazard waiting to happen. A potential tripping menace for unsuspecting wildlife (because, naturally, river otters are desperate to admire chrome handlebars). And dont even get me started on the sheer logistical nightmare of retrieving them should they decide to stage a watery escape.
Honestly, I suspect someone just had a surplus of bicycles and an overwhelming urge to defy common sense. It’s the sort of thing that makes you question humanity, one ludicrously placed bicycle at a time. Just…bicycles. On a log. In a river. The sheer audacity of it all!
