Really? Rhinos and Rescue Missions Now?
So, because we apparently have nothing better to do, a gaggle of animal behaviorists – bless their cotton socks – just took a luxurious trip to Africa in August to… help an endangered white rhino with an eye infection. An eye infection. Let’s all pause for a moment and reflect on the sheer audacity of this endeavor.
I mean, honestly! While children are starving, rainforests are disappearing faster than you can say deforestation, and political discourse has devolved into playground squabbles, our priorities lie with ensuring a rhinos peepers are pristine? It’s just… marvelous. Truly inspiring.
And the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society, of course, gets to pat themselves on the back for their “compassionate” efforts. I’m sure the photo ops alone were worth the exorbitant airfare and presumably five-star accommodations. They probably got to pet a lion cub too. How delightful!
Dont misunderstand me; rhinos are important. But wouldnt our resources be better spent, you know, preventing these animals from becoming endangered in the first place? A little less virtue signaling and a little more proactive conservation might actually make a difference, instead of just generating feel-good headlines. Just a thought.
