Really? A Crocodile Out of Place? Groundbreaking.
So, a crocodile. Found far away from where crocodiles are supposed to be. Hold the applause, folks. This is news? Apparently, it is, because apparently we’re all supposed to be astounded that an animal sometimes wanders outside its designated zone. A rescue team – bless their hearts, bravely risking life and limb (mostly from boredom, I suspect) – had to go and capture this errant reptile. Because, you know, a crocodile swimming is somehow more disruptive than, say, the ongoing collapse of ecosystems directly attributable to… well, let’s not go there.
Honestly, the breathless reporting! Hundreds of miles! As if crocodiles are supposed to adhere to meticulously drawn lines on a map. Nature, in its infinite and often inconvenient wisdom, doesnt operate like that. It shifts, it adapts, things move. And sometimes, a crocodile gets curious. Or hungry. Or just really didn’t like the neighbours back where it came from.
The sheer amount of resources expended to wrangle this wandering wonder… I can practically hear the taxpayers weeping quietly in the background. While coral reefs bleach and koalas choke on plastic, we celebrate a crocodiles geographical faux pas. Its just… wonderful. Truly. Just another testament to our priorities.
