Really? A Dog and a Hero? Seriously?
Let’s just pause for a moment, shall we? Another heartwarming tale graces our newsfeeds – firefighters rescuing a dog from a frozen river. Because apparently, thats what public funds are really for these days. Forget potholes the size of small cars, forget crumbling infrastructure, forget adequately staffing schools. No, no, we need to spend taxpayer dollars on canine ice-fishing expeditions!
And because this couldn’t possibly be tragic enough, one of the good samaritans who rushed out to help the poor pooch also decided to join him in the icy plunge. A true hero, risking his own life for a… dog. I mean, bless his heart, but did he not consider, perhaps, calling 911 instead of becoming part of the problem?
