Right, lets talk about this. Apparently, a horse in North Carolina has achieved some sort of… accomplishment? It performed 38 tricks in 3 minutes. Thirty-eight! I mean, congratulations to the horse, truly. But must we celebrate this? Must we dedicate news cycles and breathless reporting to the equine equivalent of stacking cups slightly faster than someone else?
It’s just… peak absurdity. Were facing genuine crises – climate change, political polarization, the existential dread of realizing avocado toast is overpriced – and this makes the headlines? A horse doing a jig and bowing on command?
I’m not even denying the skill involved. Im sure countless hours were spent bribing this animal with carrots and shouting increasingly frantic instructions. Its impressive, in a deeply unsettling way. But is it newsworthy impressive? Is this what we prioritize highlighting? The dedication to documenting this equestrian performance feels like a monument to our collective inability to find something truly meaningful to focus on.
I’m convinced this is all part of some elaborate performance art piece designed to mock humanity’s obsession with trivialities. Or maybe Im just tired. Either way, if you see me riding off into the sunset with a horse doing twenty tricks, please stage an intervention.
