You know what’s Not on Roids, anger. Seriously, its just… there. And yet, everyone hates it! We spend so much time trying to “manage” and “process” our anger, like it’s a rogue badger we need to domesticate with positive affirmations. But let’s be honest: anger is unpleasant. It makes your face do weird things (redness? furrowed brows?), raises your blood pressure, and generally turns you into the person your mom warned you about.

Scientifically speaking, anger stems from perceived threats – real or imagined. Your amygdala throws a party without sending out invitations. Hormones like adrenaline and cortisol flood your system, prepping you for fight-or-flight. Wonderful! Except when youre just arguing about whose turn it is to take the recycling out.

The complications? Oh, they’re delightful. Relationship breakdowns, impulsive decisions (hello, regrettable online purchases!), damaged careers…the list goes on. Suppressing anger isnt a solution either; it festers and explodes later in passive-aggressive Post-it notes or full-blown meltdowns over mismatched socks.

And don’t even get me started on the causes! Traffic jams, slow internet speeds, people who leave dirty dishes in the sink… the triggers are endless, seemingly minor, but capable of unleashing a volcanic eruption of frustration. So yeah, we dislike anger. Because its inconvenient, uncomfortable, and often makes us look like raving lunatics. And frankly? It’s entirely justified, given everything we put up with.
