Behold, Another Viral Wonder: Because Apparently Snow Needs to Be Exciting Now
Seriously? A snownado? Is absolutely nothing sacred anymore? We’ve conquered space, eradicated diseases (mostly), and invented avocado toast, yet now were losing our collective minds over a swirling pile of frozen water. It’s snow! We’ve had snow for millennia. People built empires in the snow! They fought wars in the snow! And now it gets…whirlwindy?
And, naturally, someone had to film it. Because documenting every mundane occurrence for social media validation is apparently a fundamental human need. A Colorado woman—bless her heart—captured this breathtaking (eye roll) phenomenon and posted it online. Now everyone’s clamoring to share it, proclaiming its rarity as if we havent seen similar things before. Its just snow! With wind! Get a grip!
Im not saying it isn’t visually…interesting. I suppose it is. But the breathless reporting and the frantic sharing? The need to label it with some dramatic, made-up term like snownado? It feels like peak internet absurdity. We are drowning in content, desperate for anything—anything—to distract us from, you know, actual problems.
Next thing we know they’ll be giving the “Snownado of the Year” award at some prestigious ceremony. I need a nap.
