Really? Horses on a Frozen Pond?! Seriously?
Lets just pause for a moment and collectively sigh, shall we? Because apparently, in this world brimming with actual problems – climate change, political unrest, global inequality – we’re now devoting precious resources to… horses falling through ice. In Michigan. Four of them. Four! Do these animals have a personal vendetta against common sense? Are they actively trying to inconvenience hardworking rescuers?
Im genuinely struggling to muster any sympathy here. Its frozen. Thats what frozen means, people! It’s not an invitation for equine joyrides. I envision the scene: someone, presumably equally lacking in foresight, decided it would be a brilliant idea to let horses roam free near a pond that was obviously, demonstrably, covered in ice. Because clearly, these magnificent creatures are incapable of making their own decisions about where to wander.
And now we have brave individuals, risking their necks and wasting valuable time, pulling soggy horses out of frigid water because someone else’s poor judgment resulted in this ridiculous situation. I bet the horses were thrilled too! Absolutely delighted to be soaked and shivering. I just… I need a moment. A long moment. Maybe involving a strong beverage and a profound contemplation of humanitys collective ability to create problems that require other people to solve them.
