Really? A Dog on a Train Beam? Seriously?
Let’s just pause for a moment, shall we? While the world burns, faces climate catastrophe, and politicians engage in…well, you know… animal protection officers were saving a dog from a train track support beam. At 63rd & Market. A beam. I mean, really? Is this what our tax dollars are funding now? Rescuing canines with questionable judgment from precarious perches?
Apparently, someone decided it was a good idea for a dog to be perched high above the ground on some industrial infrastructure. Was he seeking refuge from squirrels? Escaping an existential crisis about kibble? One shudders to think of the logistics involved – did he choose this location? Did he scale that beam with canine determination, or was he gently placed there by a misguided human believing they were providing amusement?
Im not denying the dog might have needed assistance. I’m just… questioning priorities. I envision the scene: flashing lights, concerned faces, heroic rescues while genuine crises fester elsewhere. A feel-good story for the evening news to distract from the impending doom. And a reminder that some people truly believe rescuing a dog from an improbable location is more important than, say, feeding someone who’s hungry.
Fantastic. Another heartwarming tale of rescued animals. Im sure the dog feels wonderfully validated. The rest of us? We can just sigh and accept this as peak modern absurdity.
