A Wheat Field on I-5? Seriously?!
So, California, land of sunshine and… apparently, rogue grain avalanches? Because thats what we’re dealing with now, folks. A semi, two trailers mind you – because one clearly wasnt enough to wreak havoc – decided to spontaneously combust (okay, overturn) on a major highway and generously sprinkle the asphalt with its cargo. Grain. Just… grain. Everywhere.
You know, because that’s exactly what we needed to add to our already delightful commute. Hours of delays? Fantastic! I was really hoping to be late for my next appointment. The sheer brilliance of it all is astounding. A multi-trailer semi, defying physics and common sense, deciding to redistribute agricultural products across a vital transportation artery.
And the best part? The inevitable photo opportunities! Imagine the Instagram posts: Just casually stuck in traffic amongst mountains of wheat. Its practically poetic. I’m sure this is going to significantly improve productivity and overall happiness throughout the state. I can already feel my blood pressure rising just thinking about it.
Seriously though, a semi? Two trailers? Grain? What are we, living in a cartoon? Someone clearly didn’t read the memo on safe transportation practices.
