An Ostrich on the Loose: Because Apparently, 2024 Isnt Absurd Enough
Seriously? An ostrich? In Madison County? I’m starting to think reality just collectively lost the plot. We have world economies teetering, political landscapes resembling a clown convention, and now… an ostrich. Running amok near roads! As if navigating rush hour wasn’t already an exercise in vehicular frustration, we must also be on the lookout for giant, flightless birds?
I can practically hear the press releases now: “Authorities urge caution!” Oh, really? You think? I hadnt considered that a creature capable of kicking with enough force to hospitalize a human might warrant some level of awareness. It’s not like they routinely roam suburban Ohio. This isn’t a squirrel; this is a prehistoric refugee from a bad joke!
And the roads, naturally. The ostrich felt compelled to terrorize people near roads. Because that’s where you expect an escaped exotic animal to hang out – dodging minivans and delivery trucks. Im sure the logistics of wrangling a giant bird are proving wonderfully simple for everyone involved. Just casually herd it back into its enclosure, right?
Honestly, at this point, I fully anticipate seeing a rogue penguin waddling across Main Street next Tuesday. Prepare yourselves, Madison County. This is only the beginning.
