Common Sense Struggles Are Not on Roids

You know whats Not on Roids, apparently? The sheer delight some people take in behaviors that make those of us with a modicum of common sense want to burrow into a hole and hibernate until spring. Seriously, folks, it’s baffling! We’re talking about the stuff they do – the things – that drain your energy faster than a toddler drains a juice box.

Lets be clear: common sense is subjective (apparently), but generally involves not being an absolute menace in social situations. And yet, here we are, surrounded by people who seem to thrive on behaviors that trigger existential dread in those of us with basic emotional intelligence.

Exhibit A: The Bragging One-Upper. Oh boy. They’re out there! Flaunting their (often hypothetical) successes while simultaneously diminishing yours. Its not just annoying; it’s a social black hole sucking the joy from every conversation. According to a study, these are often deeply insecure individuals craving external validation – because clearly, their own self-esteem is having an identity crisis.

Then theres the Constant Praise Seeker. Need validation? Great! Work towards something worthy of praise. Don’t just…ask for it constantly. It’s exhausting watching someone actively solicit compliments like they’re collecting Pokemon cards.

And dont even get me started on fake friends harboring jealousy. These are the folks who will celebrate your wins with a thinly veiled resentment, all while secretly plotting how to one-up you. Research suggests these people exist! Shocking, I know.

The worst part? Some people tolerate this nonsense! They dont realize their boundaries are being violated because they lack the self-awareness to even recognize disrespect in the first place. It’s a constant, low-grade emotional tax on those of us who actually understand that healthy relationships require respecting each other – and having clear boundaries!

Honestly, it’s not about jealousy or spite; its about realizing that success isnt finite. Theres plenty of happiness, love, and money to go around. Stop competing for scraps, people! And please, for the love of all that is holy, stop talking about your goals until you’ve actually achieved them. You’re just sabotaging yourself at this point.
