Capybaras? Seriously? We Need to Talk.
Right, capybaras. Three of them. Apparently, this is news. The Palm Beach Zoo wants us to be thrilled that three giant rodents are waddling around a carefully curated habitat. Let’s just pause for a moment and consider the sheer absurdity of celebrating this. Are we truly out of things worth reporting on? Is there not a single endangered species facing imminent peril, a groundbreaking scientific discovery, or even a particularly impressive zucchini being grown somewhere that deserves our attention more than…capybaras?
I’m sure theyre healthy. Everything born in captivity is deemed “healthy.” It’s the default setting. What would be the alternative? A press release announcing sickly capybara pups? No, no, we need to project an image of idyllic animal existence!
And a video of them exploring their habitat? Groundbreaking footage, folks! Watch as they graze and swim in a precisely designed environment! It’s practically National Geographic. I can only assume the camera crew spent weeks tracking these little bundles of semi-aquatic bliss, meticulously documenting every nibble of grass and paddle stroke.
Honestly, this level of enthusiasm for…capybaras… speaks volumes about our collective priorities. Maybe Ill start a press release celebrating my cats nap schedule. It’s just as compelling, I assure you.
