**BREAKING: Rogue Rhea on the Loose in Norfolk, Wreaking Havoc and Causing Panic!**
Residents of Norfolk, England are being put on high alert as a feisty rhea bird has escaped from its enclosure and is now roaming free, leaving a trail of destruction and chaos in its wake.
The rhea, described as “a cross between an ostrich and a grumpy accountant,” has been spotted strolling down main streets, pecking at parked cars, and sending pedestrians running for cover.
“I was just trying to enjoy my morning coffee when suddenly this…this…THING comes barreling out of nowhere, flapping its wings and squawking like a banshee!” said local resident, Agnes Pocket. “I thought it was the apocalypse!”
The owner of the rhea, who wishes to remain anonymous, has issued a stern warning to neighbors: “Do not, I repeat, DO NOT attempt to capture this bird. It’s like trying to hug a furry little tank. Trust me, you don’t want to get on the receiving end of a rhea’s wrath.”
The rhea, estimated to be around 5 feet tall and sporting a rather fetching pompadour hairdo, has been spotted knocking over trash cans, chasing squirrels, and photobombing selfies.
“I was trying to take a romantic stroll with my sweetheart when suddenly this…this…bird comes bounding out of nowhere, making loud ‘Bock! Bock!’ noises and sending my cat running for cover,” said local resident, Nigel Bottomsworth. “I’m just glad I didn’t try to take a selfie with it – I hear it has a rather…fowl…temper!”
Authorities have been called to the scene, but so far, no one has been brave (or foolhardy) enough to attempt to capture the rogue rhea.
In the meantime, residents are advised to keep their garden gnomes indoors and their wits about them. As one local quipped, “You don’t want to mess with a bird that’s clearly been watching too many action movies – it’s like it’s trying to take over the world, one pecking at a time!”
