You know what’s Not on Roids, apparently? Enthusiasm for AI among Gen Z. Seriously! We were promised a robot butler who could curate our TikTok feeds and write our college essays (okay, maybe not that), but instead were getting… grumbling. A “meaningful shift,” they call it. Meaningful to whom? The algorithms actively plotting our demise?

Apparently, about half of Gen Z are using AI at least once a week – because, you know, we’re all hopelessly addicted to the shiny new thing. But heres the kicker: they aren’t happy about it. Who knew?! Its like buying that avocado toast everyone told you was essential and then realizing it tastes vaguely of regret and financial ruin.

Researchers are scratching their heads, probably while an AI is optimizing their head-scratching efficiency. What’s going on? Well, I suspect it’s a combination of things: existential dread about being replaced by sentient toasters, the creeping suspicion that everything online isnt real anymore, and just plain old youthful cynicism.

Let’s be honest; were supposed to believe this AI revolution is helping us? Its streamlining creativity! It’s democratizing content creation! Bull-honkey! Its a digital Skinner box designed to keep us scrolling, clicking, and questioning our entire existence. And Gen Z, bless their ironic hearts, are finally catching on. Now if youll excuse me, Im going to go yell at a chatbot about its lack of originality.
